The Inspiration
In our initial discussion, the client provided a single inspiration website while expressing that they desired a higher degree of elegance and sophistication. The first image below is what the client provided and the remaining two were the ones I sent for review to confirm I had the correct vision in mind.

02.
Color Palette & Typography
Utilizing photos from their launch kit, I worked backwards to find a simple color palette that would work in conjunction with the photography and mission of the restaurant. While we were prepared to implement three varying colors, we only used two.

High Fidelity Prototype
With the branding and site architecture approved, I worked with the provided images and text to create a high fidelity prototype. The client’s brand had existing websites for other restaurants which made it easy to understand the flow that they desired their customers to experience. The client was provided a viewing link and we worked through a single round of revisions before moving on to the build of the website.

Divi Build on WordPress
With use of the Divi Builder on a WordPress website, I built this design and created a template to walk the client through how to update the content and add blog posts. I worked with the client for the following weeks to assist in updating their upcoming events and adding new photos as they were taken.

- The Influence of Imagery: This was the first client that I was ability to work with that supplied their own high quality imagery for use with their brand and website. I had previously learned to rely heavily on animations and supplemental graphics, but enjoyed working with a simplistic style for this client.
- Ease of Use: Unlike other websites that I have worked on, this one was straightforward in that site visitors needed to access three main actions in order for the website to be “successful”. There was no need to record site conversions, foot traffic, or time on page, as this was a website to direct customers to from outlets to secure a reservation or view the menus.
- Speed of Communication: This was one of the quickest projects I was able to work with due to rapid response times from the client. The frontend prep that was overlooked was not as critically impacting with how quickly I was able to collect decisions from the client as the project progressed or we ran into issues.
